get key from Thawte.com
fill out the forms there [use ie or firefox]
then respond to emails from Thawte to register
login to thawte
request a key using the same browser as before on the same machine
cert is downloaded to the browser certs
if in firefox go to options/advance/certificates and backup this cert 
it will ask for a location and password chose p12 extension
after exported use "internet Options' in the control panel
go to content and certificates
import the .p12 file you just saved into 'personal' section
close all and you are done.
