Natasha Devroye, ECE assistant professor, has won a five-year, $450,000 National Science Foundation Early Faculty Career Award to aid in her work analyzing communication flow by way of mathematical models.link Zhichun Zhu, ECE assistant professor, has been awarded a five-year, $400,000 National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award to investigate the architecture for building this next generation of computers. link
Congratulations to the following students:

PhD student, Ishita Basu, recipient of the 2011 Dean's Scholar Award. Her project is titled: "Closed-loop Predictive Control of DBS." Advisor: Professor Daniela Tuninetti

PhD student, Ayan Kar, recipient of the 2011 Dean's Scholar Award. His project is titled: "Study of Nanowires for Next Generation Sensing Applications." Advisor: Professor Mitra Dutta

PhD student, Giuseppe Carluccio, recipient of the Spring 2011 Provost's Award. His project is titled: "Project: Locally optimized B1 field for MRI systems." Advisor: Professor Danilo Erricolo

Undergraduate student, Ranjit Kaur, for receiving the TCF Bank Scholarship through the Office of Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs for the 2011-2012 academic year
