If you're a fan of android, you may have heard of
CyanogenMod. Cyanogen has created an emulator image for
CyanogenMod 7 which allows you to develop using Android API 2.3
WARNINGS
- I am assuming you have already installed the SDK successfully. If you have not, please install it first.
- I am also assuming that you are using Eclipse with ADT plugin. If you are not, try to find your workaround for this.
- NOT FOR NEWBIES! Only proceed if you know what you are doing!! I can't give support for this.
INSTRUCTIONS
- In Eclipse, go to Window -> Android SDK and AVD Manager
- Go to Available Packages
- Click on Add Add-on website
- Copy and paste this link http://acm.cs.uic.edu/~stephen/cyanogenmod/repository.xml
- Click Ok
- In third party addons, put a check next to CyanogenMod 7 by CyanogenMod
- Install it
- Once finished installing, go to Virtual Devices
- Click new and create a new AVD called Cyanogen using the CyanogenMod Target
- In hardware in the same screen, add two properties. "Device RAM Size" and "Max VM Application Heap Size" should be 192
- You should be done with Market and all!
