Xu Chen received the B.S.degree in Electrical Engineering in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in China ,2006. He received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, 2008. He is currently pursuing PhD degree at Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department in University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He is a research assistant in Multimedia Communications Laboratory and Multimedia Systems Laboratory in UIC.
His research interests are image and video processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, image and video coding, machine learning, wireless network . He has served regularly as a reviewer for different journals, conferences and book chapters, such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (T-CSVT), IEEE Signal Processing Letters, IEEE Communication Letters, Video Search and Mining (VSM), IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME), IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), IEEE Global Communication Conference (GLOBECOM), etc.
He is now seeking a permanent position to productively apply his knowledge and technical skills in the areas of comouter vision, pattern recognition, image and video processing, coding, machine learning and data mining.
