Overview
I'm a M.S student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois working with the Signal and Image Research Lab (SIRL) under Professor Rashid Ansari. Currently, I am working on the Adaptive Multi-foveation based Image/Video Compression project whose goal is to produce real time video compression based on object tracking and multi-foveation. Background
I did my undergraduate work at Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS) and earned a degree, B.E(Hons)Electrical and Electronics ,affectionately known as EEE. Dual Degree scheme in BITS helped me to pursue Masters in Biological Sciences simultaneously.

   
Work Experience
As part of my Coursework I did my internship at the INSEAD Business School, France as Research Associate under Professor Jack Soll for an year. I was also member of Academic Computing Division at INSEAD during my tenure.

After my graduation, I joined i2 Technologies Inc. as Systems Consultant. I worked for more than a year as a software developer for Merchandise Planner, one of the SCM(Supply Chain Management) products of i2.
