The Auto Channel
This is my sister's car. It is a 1998 Nissan
Altima. We bought this about 6 months ago from Mid City Nissan. Like my other Nissan 200sx I got the picture from
The Auto Channel. Unlike my other car, I did find a
picture of
our car on the web and this is the real color of
this car. The color of our Altima is Black Cherry. I like this color
because it looks black from far away and as you come closer the color
looks different.
The base price for this car is about $20,000, but we bought it for around
$18,000, including tax, ofcourse.
So, how do you like this car? I happen
to think that it is a pretty good car. I try to drive it when ever I have
a chance. Some of the things that we put extra into the car are:
- Remote keyless entry and secruity system
- Spoiler
- Gold Package

The remote keyless entry is good because with a touch of a button, the
doors will unlock by itself. No more looking for the keyhole and
scratching the paint near it, just one click and you're in. This is very
useful not only in daytime but also at night and in winter. Even if the
locks freeze up in winter, I can unlock the door.
An Altima isn't an Altima without a spoiler. Altimas always looked plain
to me without a spoiler. We put a spoiler during the first week we
purchased the car. The other thing that we added was the gold packaging.
This is when you color the Nissan logo and other trimmings to gold. The
gold packaging made the car look better.
I view the Altima as being a family car. I don't want to do anything to
this car, except maybe put tints on it. Other than that, I am not
planning to do anything else to it such as big speakers or better rims.
Another reason that I don't want to do anything to this car is because it
is my sister's car. She drivers this car the most and I don't really care
about making it look good that much.
