Originally trained to be an Imperial pilot by Baron Fel, Tycho Celchu joined the Rebellion soon after the Empire he served destroyed his homeworld of Alderaan. Recruited by Luke Skywalker to join Rogue Squadron before the Battle of Hoth, Tycho soon moved up the ranks of the squadron to the point where he became Executive Officer and 2nd in command of the Rogues. Tycho along with the rest of the Rogues has been involved in every major campaign the Rebel Alliance/New Republic has had including, Endor, Bakura, Brentaal, and Coruscant. As an outstanding pilot, Tycho has been noted to be the 2nd best pilot in the Republic behind only Wedge Antilles. As a fearless ground operative, he has used his knowledge of Imperial strategies and protocols to bring down Imperial installations. After the majority of the Empire was defeated in the years following the resurrection of the Emperor Palpatine, Tycho as a colonel in the New Republic Starfighter Command went on to train the next generation of fighter pilots. Tycho was designated as Rogue 2.
A simple figure to make, again using a head cast from Dave Diaz, I painted the head flesh and gave Tycho tan hair and eyes and attached it to a headless Biggs Darklighter. The body itself had its body straps all painted to a matching white. Since Tycho is always seen with a flight vest on, I placed on him a vest from Commtech Han, which fit nice and snuggly on the figure. I gave Tycho a datapad from the Tatooine Accessory kit, I figure as the Rogue's XO, he would need such a device handy to handle all his personnel decisions. His helmet is from Blastshield Luke, repainted light gray and with several red and black designs painted on, based on the Rogue Squadron comics.
