Thirty-two years before the Battle of Yavin and the intense rising of a Galactic Civil War, the evil Trade Federation attempted a blockade and embargo of freight to the peaceful world of Naboo. Employing Battle Droids to do their dirty work, the Neimodian rulers of the Federation obtained control of the planet instantly. Different classes of Battle Droids performed different functions. The ones above, Security Battle Droids, noted for their red striping, acted as police in the streets of Naboo and the hallways of the huge Federation battleships. Neimodian officials would often be seen being flanked by a pair of these Security droids.
This is an extremely simple custom, something newcomers to the hobby should try as a starting point to improve their painting skills. All that was done to this figure was paint those areas that needed to be red, such as the back of the head, arms, and shoulders. The Security Battle Droids used a standard blaster, but did not wear the backpacks other models such as the Infantry droids wore.
