In Michael Stackpole's I, Jedi, Rogue Squadron member Corran Horn must assume a new identity to discover the whereabouts of his abducted wife, Mirax. Taking the name Keiran Halcyon, which is both a modification of his first name and his true last name, Corran goes to train at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy as he is the heir to the Correlian Jedi lineage of Halcyon's. At the academy, Keiran becomes aware of his wife's whereabouts and sets off to rescue her. Using both his Jedi skills and CorSec taught talents the couple are reunited.
Keiran was some what of a hassle to make, but quite an experience too. For the head I took a Qui-Gon head and shaved off the long locks. Unfortunately, I shaved a wee bit too far, though not seen in the pic, Keiran looks like he had an accident with an errant lightsaber. The hair and beard were then painted with a mixture of olive green & white, its hard to see in the pic, but there are small tints of green in there, just like in the book. For the body, I used the body of the Bespin Luke figure, whose head I used for my Ep2 Anakin, and painted the majority of the body a dark tan. You probably noticed that the collar is not open, well since the book cover shows a buttoned collar, I wanted to give the same effect. Since I'm not fluent in the uses of Sculpty or such other products, I took some small pieces of leftover plastic from the Qui-Gon head and assorted other parts, cut the pieces to fit into the collar, glued it on, and sanded it in to best match the flow of the collar. When I was satisfied painted it to match the rest of the body, it's not the neatest thing, but it works for me. To round off Keiran I added a standard BlasTech blaster and a Qui-Gon saber to match the blade color show as Keiran's saber on the cover. I believe this is the saber he built himself and not the one inherited to him by his grandfather. Overall this was hard work, but I had fun making this figure and ain't that the point of all this.
