In Aaron Alliston's X-Wing novel, Solo Command, Han Solo commands a fleet of New Republic vessels who are in search of Imperial Warlord Zsinj and his Super Star Destroyer, Iron Fist. As a New Republic General, Solo's duty was to bring Zsinj to justice and end his control of former Imperial space near the Hapes Cluster. Also as a general, Solo was expected to wear the uniform of that rank. My representation of Han as a general in this novel has our favorite scoundrel only going so far in wearing the uniform. Han wears the jacket of a New Republic General with insignia and ceremonial blaster, but Han is wearing his favorite black slacks with Corellian blood stripe trimming.
This is a figure made out of frustration with so many extra pieces lying around and no idea what to do with them. In the end I was happy with the results. The custom is made using the arms and torso from a General Lando, the legs from a Rebel Fleet Trooper and any Han head and Blastech hand blaster. I painted the outer portions of the jacket (the torso and shoulder pads) a dark tan to give it a color resembling the uniform General Madine wore in ROTJ. The RFT's legs were painted flat black with the blood stripe painted in red. Put all the parts together, add the blaster and General Solo is complete.
