This is my vision of how the Jedi Padawan Anakin Skywalker will look in Star Wars: Episode 2. Since Episode 2 is supposed to take place roughly 10 years after The Phantom Menace he'll be about the same age as his son Luke is when we first see him, so I decided to make Padawan Anakin look much like his son. I also went with the notion that Anakin would still have the hair braid along his shoulder, however as a little hint at not playing by the rules, he doesn't have the straight cut Obi-Wan did in E1. Anakin even has the lightsaber we see given to Luke in the original trilogy.
To make Padawan Anakin I took the body of a Qui-Gon Jinn(Jedi Duel) and removed the head, to be used later, using the infamous pop and boil method. I painted the pants a flat black, another hint at the darkness to come, and the vest a dark tan. I didn't paint the tunic as I think maybe Anakin would wear the same one as Qui-Gon in remembrance of the man who freed him from slavery. For the head I popped the head off of a Bespin Luke figure, body to be used later in conjunction with the Qui-Gon head. I then sliced the hair braid off of an Obi-Wan Kenobi figure and then glued it to the Luke head. I wanted to do my best to match Anakin's hair in E1, so I painted the Luke head hair and braid a desert tan and though its hard to tell in the scan, I did leave some bits of the original hair color to match the different shades of hair color in E1. I painted a black hair tie on the braid, then glued the head onto the body, I had to cut the neck piece off the head, cause it just wouldn't fit into the torso, unfortunately I did a horrible job on the cut and hence had to glue it on. To complete the figure, I gave it the Bespin Luke lightsaber, which as we all know belonged to Anakin first.
