Assistant Professor (January 2009)
Electrical and Computer Engineering
University of Illinois at Chicago
My general research interests fall in the areas of
information theory,
wireless communications,
optimization and
signal processing.
More specifically, my recent research has focussed on the fundamental limits (information theoretic) of communication in wireless and cognitive networks.
I will be joining UIC on January 1, 2009, and will be traveling extensively from July 31 until December 31, 2008.
You can reach me at devroye (at) ece.uic.edu but my connectivity will likely be limited. Follow my
trip.
I will be teaching ECE 531 Detection and Estimation Theory in the Spring semester of 2009.
