opportunities for scholarships and awards are continually
changing, students are encouraged to consult each year

Industrial
Scholar Award |
|
| |
Annually,
$500 accompanied by a certificate is awarded to academically
outstanding sophomore and junior-level students. These
awards are possible due to the continued support of
industrial partners. To be eligible, you must be an
outstanding student in the areas of concentration
of electromagnetics and electronic engineering.

Herbert
Stein Memorial Award
|
|
|
| |
This
scholarship award, sponsored and administered by the
UIC Scholarship Association, is in honor of Professor
Herbert Stein. Professor Stein was a man of high integrity,
who was dedicated to the undergraduate student body
in the former EECS Department. In his late years,
Professor Stein devoted his teaching career of academic
excellence to undergraduate engineers. The memorial
scholarship in his honor consists of a $500 award.
The recipient must be majoring in electrical engineering
with an outstanding academic record.

Henry
Kaczmarek Award |
|
|
| |
This
scholarship award, sponsored by the UIC Scholarship Association,
is in honor of Mr. Henry Kaczmarek. Mr. Kaczmarek was a man
of tremendous initiative who used his own resources to obtain
a college education. He had a distinguished career customizing
railroad communication equipment. The memorial scholarship
in his honor consists of a $200 award. To be eligible, a student
must satisfy the following criteria:

William
L. Everitt Student Award |
|
|
| |
The
William L. Everitt Student Award of Excellence, sponsored
by the National Engineering Consortium (NEC), annually recognizes
two students in their junior year who are in the top 10 percent
of their class.
The
award recipients must demonstrate interest in the areas of
communications and computers. The students are presented a
symbolic gift and receive continued recognition through the
display of their names on the NEC plaque displayed on the
11th floor of the SEO building.
