UIC is conveniently located on Chicago's near west side, making it easily accessible by car, train and bus: |

Several exits provide access to the campus. City streets entering the campus include: Ashland, Damen, Halsted, Harrison,Morgan, Racine, Roosevelt, and Taylor. From Downstate, both I-55 and I-57 feed into northwestbound I-90/94. |

Public Transportation |
UIC is served by O'Hare/Congress/Douglas (U of I/Halsted stop) rapid transit trains and several bus lines including No. 60 Blue Island-26th Street, No. 8 Halsted Street, No. 9 Ashland Avenue, No. 7 Harrison Street, No. 12 Roosevelt Road, No. 126 Jackson, and No. 37 Taylor Street (Sedgwick). Commuter Train |
Downtown terminals - Northwestern and Union stations - are linked to the southbound No. 60 bus on Clinton Avenue. From the Rock Island and Illinois Central terminals take the southwestbound O'Hare/ Congress/ Douglas rapid transit. |

Getting around and about campus |

Both the Inter-Campus Shuttle (day and evening) and the Taylor Street Shuttle make stops in front of the Engineering Research Facility building (ERF). The UIC Visitor Office conducts daily, group, and Saturday tours of the campus. You can obtain more information about campus shuttle stops, schedules and campus tours from the UIC Visitor Office Website. |

Parking on & around campus |

We are located on the east campus. Parking near the Sciences and Engineering Offices (SEO) building is available (visitor and Card access) in UIC lots #4, #5C and #9 for a fee. Parking lot #5C, which is closest to the SEO building, is just south of Taylor street but is not shown on the map below. |
