Research Interests

Research presently pursued is in the area of electromagnetic radiation, scattering and propagation. Specific work involve design and development of antennas and arrays for application in wireless and satellite communication. Tasks involve development of Matlab codes and analytical work in analysis and design. Commercially available CAD software such as HFSS and FEKO are also considered for use in this work.

Scattering from electrically large bodies is also subject of investigation. These bodies include, among others, metallic and impedance surface bodies of revolution with and without isotropic and anisotropic layers of coatings; dielectric bodies with several layers of coatings. The numerical techniques considered for these tasks include method of moment with parametric elements and/or surface patches. FDTD and FE techniques are also being explored.

Another area of research is in the analysis and design of large phased array antennas and application of convolution synthesis technique to linear and planar array design.
