Robots Among Us

We will be showing some movies from last year's robot competition and asking for team members for the spring 2008 season. This will be a very short meeting.

Movie Night

We will be showing either "An Inconvenient Truth" or "To Hot Not to Handle". Both of these movies confront the realism that global warming is upon us. We will be discussing the truth behind these movies, and their underlying topics.

Soldering Workshop

Do you want to learn how to solder? If so here is the perfect chance for you to do so. We will be hosting a workshop that allows students to solder together their own electronic circuit and see how it all works together.

Company Tour: Acciona - Wind Energy

Acciona Energy North America is a Spanish wind farm developer, one of the biggest in the world.

It monitors and controls all its wind turbines in the US and Canada from right here, downtown Chicago.

A former IEEE student member works in Acciona's control center and has invited us to tour the company. Join us to learn about state of the art wind energy projects!
